Welcome to the Hmong Bobtail Club of America
Established 2023
HBCA is the first breed club dedicated to the ethical preservation and ownership of Hmong Bobtail dogs in the US.
Our Goals
We are a passionate group of enthusiasts committed to the preservation, protection, and education of the Hmong Bobtail dogs. The HBCA was formed with the intent to promote the Hmong Bobtails outside Vietnam and share this wonderful breed with the world. In Fall 2023, our founding club members imported four Hmong Bobtails from Vietnam to begin learning about them and gain first-hand experience with the breed. Some of our long-term goals are to:
Health test and study their health, genetics, and temperament.
Title and participate in sports that the breed can excel in.
Honor their cultural history and purpose to continue their legacy.
Educate and promote them to the world (outside Vietnam).
Gain breed recognition in the US and internationally.

Want to join the HBCA?
We are accepting new members interested in joining our club's growth. Prospective members are required to read and agree to our Constitution and Bylaws, Code of Ethics, and pay a $20 membership fee to the Hmong Bobtail Club of America. Our Code of Ethics is a guideline to ensure members adhere to an ethical set of rules to protect and preserve the breed standard as well as to prevent the exploitation of Hmong Bobtails. We encourage those passionate about the breed to apply.
Though the HBCA is based in the US, we accept all members internationally (restrictions apply). Members of the HBCA may register their dogs in the HBCA database, participate in HBCA events, and more. To begin the process, read through and agree to the terms below, then submit a membership form.
